Not trying to be a Ba Humbug in spirit post Christmas, but Santa needs a break! My theory is that Mother's Day should immediately follow Christmas because us mom's don't get a moments rest and WE need a vacation from taking care of everyone else but ourselves during this season. Mother's don't get enough credit.
Tomorrow will be the official "after Christmas clean out" because the tree and decorations are coming down, the trash will be put out and I am gonna begin to pack for my trip! Everyone in my house knows what the Saturday after Christmas brings and they dread it.
No more festive cookie scented candles and back to the lemony smell of Lysol filling the air.
